Petco Health & Wellness Company has appointed former TJX Companies Chief Financial Officer Jeffrey Naylor to its Board of Directors, adding a seasoned retail finance executive to help guide the company’s ongoing transformation.
Effective Aug. 1, 2026, Naylor will also assume the role of Chair of Petco’s Audit Committee. The appointment comes as the retailer continues executing its “Reach for the Sky” strategy, an initiative focused on strengthening operational performance, financial discipline and long-term shareholder value.
According to Petco, Naylor brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in finance and retail operations. In addition to his previous tenure at TJX Companies, where he served as Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, he has held CFO and senior leadership positions at Big Lots, Dade Behring and The Limited.
He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Synchrony Financial and chairs the Audit Committee at Wayfair, while also bringing prior public company board experience from Dollar Tree.
Petco CEO Joel Anderson said Naylor’s financial expertise and governance experience will help support the company’s efforts to improve its economic model and drive sustainable growth. Naylor said he looks forward to working with the company’s leadership and board as Petco builds on its integrated pet health and wellness business model.
