Zoetis has received an FDA Emergency Use Authorization for Simparica Trio to treat New World screwworm infestations in dogs and puppies, expanding the animal health company’s response to the emerging parasite threat across companion animals and livestock.
Zoetis reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $2.5 billion, flat year over year on a reported basis, as weaker U.S. companion animal demand weighed on results. The animal health company also lowered its full-year revenue, adjusted net income and adjusted EPS guidance.
Zoetis has entered into an agreement to acquire veterinary teleradiology provider VitalRADS, a move that would significantly expand its diagnostic services portfolio by adding 24/7 specialist imaging interpretation, AI-assisted workflows, and cloud-based imaging technology. The acquisition is expected to strengthen the company’s vision for an integrated Virtual Reference Laboratory serving veterinary practices worldwide.
Zoetis highlighted advances in avian influenza and New World screwworm prevention, alongside environmental and community impact achievements, in its newly released 2025 Sustainability Report. The company reported meeting key targets established under its Driven to Care strategy, including $35 million in foundation grants, a 29% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and regulatory milestones for animal health products addressing emerging disease threats.
Zoetis reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of $2.3 billion, driven by international growth and livestock performance, while revising full-year guidance amid softer U.S. companion animal demand and increased competition in key pet care categories.
Zoetis has upgraded its Vetscan OptiCell analyzer with new blood testing parameters, bringing more advanced diagnostics directly into veterinary clinics.
Zoetis will continue funding free Human–Animal Bond Certification for U.S. veterinary students in 2026 and has expanded the scholarship to include veterinary technician students for the first time.
Zoetis will acquire Neogen’s animal genomics business for $160 million, strengthening its Precision Animal Health capabilities across livestock and companion animals worldwide.
