GoodVets has acquired WellHaven Pet Health, a network of more than 40 veterinary hospitals operating across seven states.
The transaction increases GoodVets’ network from 75 to 116 hospitals and expands its presence across regions of the United States, including the Pacific Northwest and Midwest.
Founded in 2016, GoodVets works with entrepreneurial veterinarians to develop hospitals in major metropolitan markets. The organization combines local clinical leadership with centralized resources designed to support hospital teams and allow veterinarians to focus on patient care.
As part of its continued growth, GoodVets is bringing WellHaven’s established practices into its network.
“We are thrilled to welcome the WellHaven team to GoodVets,” said Ryan Joseph, co-founder and chief executive officer of GoodVets. “We’ve built GoodVets hospital by hospital alongside veterinarians who share our values and believe that exceptional care begins with strong local relationships.”
Joseph said WellHaven has provided veterinary teams with technology and operating support intended to give them more time to practice medicine and care for families.
WellHaven hospitals to transition to GoodVets brand
WellHaven hospital teams will continue serving their existing clients and patients with additional resources and operational support from GoodVets.
Over time, each hospital will transition to the GoodVets brand, connecting clients with GoodVets’ network of full-service veterinary hospitals while preserving locally led care and established community relationships.
“We are proud to join GoodVets and excited about what this will make possible for our hospital teams,” said Justin Scambray, chief executive officer of WellHaven. “They will gain access to broader resources and new opportunities to grow while continuing to care for the clients and pets they know so well.”
