Doubtless has named Karl Wiley Regional President for North America as the global pet insurance and solutions organization looks to continue expanding its pet care business.
Wiley will take on the role Oct. 12 and oversee Doubtless’ North American operations and portfolio of pet insurance and pet care brands. His responsibilities will include supporting the company’s efforts to expand access to veterinary care and grow its North American business.
Leadership transition
Wiley succeeds Kirk Haggard, who is retiring after a career of nearly four decades in the insurance industry. Haggard served as CEO of Independence Pet Holdings and helped guide the business as it evolved into Doubtless.
Doubtless CEO Dirk Beeckman said Wiley’s background in operational management, customer-focused growth and scaling businesses makes him well suited for the company’s next phase.
Beeckman also credited Haggard with strengthening the company’s North American operations and helping establish the foundation for the launch of Doubtless.
Three decades of consumer and insurance experience
Wiley brings more than 30 years of experience in consumer and protection businesses. His previous companies include Allstate, Shutterfly, Motif, eBay, Alibris and MicroPlace.
His experience spans strategy development, operational efficiency, sales and marketing effectiveness, and talent development, according to Doubtless.
Wiley said he was drawn to the opportunity to help more pet owners access needed veterinary care while working with the company’s portfolio of brands.

Doubtless is a global pet insurance and pet care solutions organization formed from Independence Pet Holdings and Pinnacle Pet Group.
The company operates across 10 markets and says it currently protects more than 6 million insured pets.
