Fear Free Appoints Dr. Rebekah Zahedi as First Chief Veterinary Officer

Fear Free has appointed Rebekah Zahedi, DVM, as its first Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO), effective July 20.

In the newly created role, Dr. Zahedi will oversee Fear Free’s clinical education strategy, guide the continued development of its certification and education programs, and serve as a liaison between veterinary medicine and clinical practice. She will also lead the organization’s Advisory Group and Speakers Bureau while representing Fear Free across the veterinary and pet care industries.

Dr. Zahedi most recently served as Executive Vice President of My Pets Wellness, where she led organizational growth and strategic initiatives. Her professional background includes companion animal practice, veterinary operations, organizational leadership, and executive management. She also serves on the board of the nonprofit Paisley Paws, which works to improve access to veterinary care.

Fear Free CEO Doug Korn said Dr. Zahedi’s combination of clinical expertise and leadership experience will help advance the organization’s educational mission and strengthen collaboration across the veterinary profession.
