Fi has expanded its connected pet technology portfolio with the introduction of Fi Ultra™, a satellite-enabled GPS dog tracker designed to maintain location tracking even when dogs travel beyond the reach of traditional cellular networks.
Designed for remote adventures
The company says Fi Ultra is the first consumer pet wearable to integrate T-Mobile’s T-Satellite service powered by SpaceX’s Starlink directly into a dog tracking device, allowing owners to receive location updates in remote areas where LTE service is unavailable.
According to Fi, the new tracker automatically switches between LTE and satellite connectivity while also supporting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Multiple connectivity and safety features
In addition to satellite connectivity, Fi Ultra features dual-band high-accuracy GPS and includes Fi Callback™, a recall training system using sound and vibration cues rather than static correction. The company says the device provides multi-day battery life and is compatible with standard collars and harnesses, including existing Series 3 and Series 3+ Fi collars.
Availability
Fi Ultra is available immediately through the company’s website. Pricing is $199 plus a $189 annual membership for new customers, while existing Fi members can purchase the device for $299.
