- Designed to complement veterinary care, not replace it
- Available to all Fi members through the Fi app
Fi, a leader in smart pet technology, announced the launch of Fi Intelligence, an AI-powered health companion integrated into the Fi app. The feature is available to all Fi members and is designed to turn years of collected behavioral and biometric data into actionable insights for dog owners.
Fi Intelligence addresses common owner concerns such as activity levels, sleep quality, and unusual behaviors like excessive scratching. Unlike general-purpose AI tools that rely on broad internet data, Fi Intelligence is trained on Fi’s proprietary dataset, which includes real-world canine activity, sleep, and behavioral data. This enables it to generate insights tailored to each individual dog.
According to CEO and co-founder Jonathan Bensamoun, the company’s collars have quietly built one of the most comprehensive canine health datasets available. Fi Intelligence now makes that data accessible to users, helping them better understand their pets’ health.
Personalized Data and Context
Fi Series 3+ and Fi Mini devices continuously track step counts, sleep patterns, eating and drinking habits, off-leash activity, and other behavioral signals. These data points can help identify early signs of stress, illness, or aging.
Fi Intelligence analyzes this information against each dog’s baseline and provides clear interpretations, reducing the need for owners to interpret raw data themselves. It also places individual data into a broader context by comparing it with data from similar dogs across Fi’s network.
Veterinary Visit Support
The platform is designed to support, not replace, veterinary care. Owners can use Fi Intelligence to prepare for vet visits with documented observations based on continuous data tracking.
The system also allows users to upload veterinary records, invoices, and vaccination histories. Owners can then query the system for information such as upcoming vaccinations, past visit summaries, or annual veterinary expenses.
Darrell Stone, Vice President of Product, noted that early feedback shows owners are using the tool to arrive at veterinary appointments better informed and more prepared.
