The appointment will increase the size of the Zoetis board from 12 to 13 directors.

Zoetis said her background in digital transformation, consumer strategy and international markets will support the company’s efforts to advance innovation and strengthen connections with veterinarians, livestock producers and pet owners.

International Leadership and Board Experience

Knobloch has served as president of the Festival de Cannes since July 2022, becoming the first woman to hold the position.

She previously served as chair and CEO of I2PO S.A. from 2021 until July 2022, when the company completed its business combination with global music streaming platform Deezer S.A.

Following the transaction, Knobloch joined Deezer’s Board of Directors and became its chair in January 2023.

Knobloch currently serves on the boards of Lazard Inc., a global financial advisory and asset management firm, and Vail Resorts Inc., an international hospitality and resort operator.

Her previous board appointments include Accor, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Central European Media Enterprises and Axel Springer.

Zoetis Highlights Consumer and Digital Expertise

Zoetis Chief Executive Officer Kristin Peck said Knobloch’s combination of consumer strategy, technology experience and international leadership will provide additional perspective as the company responds to changing industry dynamics.

“We are delighted to welcome Iris Knobloch to the Zoetis Board of Directors. Iris brings a rare combination of strengths: deep expertise in consumer strategy, extensive digital transformation and technology experience, and a disciplined approach to brand stewardship across global markets,” Peck said.

Peck added that Knobloch’s experience guiding businesses through major transitions and operating across different regulatory environments will be valuable as Zoetis explores new ways to connect with pet owners and deliver animal health products globally.

Michael McCallister, chair of the Zoetis Board of Directors, also emphasized the appointment’s alignment with the company’s strategic priorities.

“The Board is committed to supporting the company’s strategy to innovate and deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of its customers,” McCallister said.

He noted that Knobloch’s experience in global consumer businesses and corporate governance will contribute to board discussions about changing customer expectations and long-term growth opportunities.
