- U.S. Pet Health remains on track for high-single-digit to low-double-digit growth during the second half of 2026, according to the company.

Longer parasite and allergy seasons are changing the seasonal dynamics of two major veterinary medicine categories, and Elanco Animal Health says its expanding pet health portfolio is benefiting from the shift.
The company reported continued momentum in its U.S. Pet Health business and reaffirmed expectations for high-single-digit to low-double-digit growth during the second half of 2026. Elanco also said U.S. Pet Health price gains accelerated during July and August compared with the second quarter.
Elanco attributes part of that momentum to increasing demand for products addressing parasiticide and dermatology needs as ticks, pollen and other environmental pressures extend beyond their traditional seasons.
“It’s exciting to see Elanco’s innovation deliver peace of mind for families, and the resulting business momentum and share growth,” said Bobby Modi, executive vice president of U.S. Pet Health at Elanco.
Longer Seasons Reshape Pet Health Demand
Elanco pointed to environmental data indicating that tick and allergy exposure is becoming less seasonal in many parts of the United States.
The company cited Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data showing U.S. emergency department visits associated with tick bites reached their highest level since the CDC began tracking the measure in 2017 during summer 2026. Elanco also cited research showing longer growing and pollen seasons across much of the country.
For veterinary medicine, the company sees those changes supporting more consistent demand for parasite prevention and dermatology care throughout the year.
Elanco also framed tick prevention as a One Health issue because pets can carry ticks encountered outdoors into homes, potentially creating exposure risks for people.
Pet Health Portfolio Drives Growth
Elanco’s U.S. and International Pet Health businesses each recorded 9% year-over-year organic constant-currency revenue growth during the first half of 2026. Reported growth was 9% for U.S. Pet Health and 15% internationally, according to the company.
Elanco said it gained U.S. market share during the first half, supported by newer products and improved performance from its established portfolio.
Credelio Quattro continued expanding its veterinary clinic footprint during the second half. Elanco reported approximately 1,100 additional clinics adopted the product during July and August.
The company also pointed to changes in how pet owners purchase preventive medications. Veterinary home-delivery sales grew nearly twice as fast as in-clinic sales during the second quarter, according to Elanco’s data. The company said compliance historically increases by approximately 50% when pet owners move to delivery programs.
Zenrelia Expands Internationally
Elanco also reported growth for its dermatology portfolio outside the United States.
The company said the overall international dermatology market grew 9% during the first half of 2026. Zenrelia’s growth accelerated in Europe, where Elanco reported the product gained 10 percentage points of market share during the period.
Meanwhile, Elanco said performance of its legacy portfolio has improved. After experiencing mid- to high-single-digit declines during 2023 and 2024, the company said that business is now performing within a range of low-single-digit growth or decline.
Elanco President and CEO Jeff Simmons said the company believes new product innovation, stabilization of its established portfolio and execution across its pet health businesses are contributing to its current momentum.
