VIN Foundation Awards Two $140,000 Veterinary Scholarships, Opens 2027 Application Cycle

The VIN Foundation has announced the recipients of the 2026 Mike Dunn, DVM Veterinary Student Scholarship created by Becky Godchaux, awarding two incoming veterinary students scholarships valued at up to $140,000 each over four years.

This year’s recipients are Lily Ciel Behnam, who will attend the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and Adam Trimmier, who will attend the Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine at Clemson University.

Created in 2023 by animal advocate Becky Godchaux in honor of her veterinarian, Dr. Mike Dunn, the scholarship supports students committed to careers in companion animal medicine. In addition to tuition assistance, recipients receive mentorship and access to VIN Foundation resources, including mental wellness and student debt support.

The VIN Foundation also announced that applications for the 2027 scholarship cycle will open July 29, 2026, at 12 p.m. PT. The program will again award two incoming U.S. veterinary students up to $35,000 per year, for a maximum of $140,000 over four years.
