National Veterinary Associates (NVA) has expanded its Board of Directors with the appointments of Laura Tortorella, CEO of AccentCare, and Tina Hunt, PhD, former executive vice president at IDEXX Laboratories, effective immediately.
According to the company, the additions strengthen the board with expertise spanning healthcare operations, animal health diagnostics, corporate strategy, and governance as NVA continues to grow its network of veterinary hospitals and pet care facilities.
Healthcare and Animal Health Expertise
Tortorella currently leads AccentCare, a national provider of home health, hospice, palliative, and personal care services. Her career includes more than 20 years of experience overseeing complex healthcare organizations, with leadership roles in operations, supply chain, pharmacy, laboratory services, analytics, and post-acquisition integration.
Hunt spent more than two decades at IDEXX Laboratories, where she helped grow the company’s diagnostics business through product innovation and the introduction of AI-enabled diagnostic platforms. Her background also includes global operations, commercial strategy, supply chain leadership, and public company board experience.
NVA Chairman Ken Burdick said the appointments align the board’s expertise with the company’s long-term strategic priorities as the veterinary sector continues to evolve.
Chief Executive Officer John Bruno added that both executives will help support NVA’s goal of making veterinary care more personal, accessible, and connected for pet owners while strengthening care delivery across every stage of a pet’s life.
