Rejuvenate Bio has raised $6 million in new financing and entered a strategic research and development collaboration with Merck Animal Health, marking a significant milestone for the biotechnology company’s veterinary gene therapy programs.
The financing round was led by VCapital and included participation from Merck Animal Health, Connecticut Innovations, and Digitalis. The capital will be used to advance Rejuvenate Bio’s gene therapy platform and expand development of treatments aimed at chronic and age-associated diseases in companion animals.
Merck Expands Commitment
In addition to investing in the company, Merck Animal Health has signed a strategic R&D agreement with Rejuvenate Bio to support development of a novel gene therapy program in animal health. The collaboration will leverage Rejuvenate Bio’s proprietary platform technologies and translational research capabilities.
