CityVet is entering the Utah market with plans to open a new veterinarian-owned clinic in Saratoga Springs, marking the company’s first location in the state and the start of a broader regional growth strategy.
The new practice is expected to open in Q3 2026 at 347 East Crossroads Blvd. in Saratoga Springs, Utah. According to the company, the clinic will be owned and operated by a Utah-based veterinarian as part of CityVet’s model focused on local practice ownership.
“Entering a new market is never just about opening a clinic, it’s about finding the right veterinarian partners who want to build something lasting in their community,” said Dave Boguslawski, CEO of CityVet, in the announcement.
CityVet differentiates itself from traditional corporate veterinary consolidators by partnering with veterinarians who maintain ownership and leadership of their practices while receiving operational and network support from the organization.
“Our model is intentionally local,” Boguslawski said. “Each CityVet clinic is owned by the veterinarian who practices there, which allows them to shape the culture, build long-term relationships with clients, and deliver care in a way that reflects the needs of their community.”
The Saratoga Springs clinic will offer comprehensive care for dogs and cats, including preventive services, diagnostics, dental procedures, surgery, and wellness planning. The company said the practice will emphasize client education, transparency, and long-term relationships with pet owners.
Expansion Strategy Focused on Local Ownership
CityVet said the Utah opening reflects its broader expansion strategy of partnering with veterinarians interested in practice ownership while maintaining work-life balance and collaborative support.
As part of its long-term plans in the state, the company intends to partner with additional veterinarians to establish more clinics throughout the Salt Lake City metro area and surrounding communities.
“Our growth has always been driven by veterinarians who want to put down roots and serve their neighbors,” Boguslawski added. “Saratoga Springs is just the beginning of what we see as a long-term commitment to Utah’s pet-loving communities.”
Additional details, including the clinic’s opening date and the identity of the local veterinarian owner, are expected to be announced in the coming months.
