Thrive Pet Healthcare has introduced the HereFurYou Helpline, a 24/7 teleadvice and teletriage service designed to provide guidance on pet health concerns and help determine when veterinary care may be needed.

The service connects callers with credentialed veterinary technicians through phone or chat and is powered by telehealth provider whiskerDocs®. The helpline offers general health information and helps assess the urgency of a pet’s condition, but it does not diagnose illnesses, prescribe medications or replace in-person veterinary exams.

“Pet health questions don’t follow business hours,” said Dr. Jyothi Alagappan, vice president of medical operations at Thrive Pet Healthcare. “Providing access to credentialed veterinary technicians helps guide next steps, reduce uncertainty and support the relationship between families and their primary veterinarian.”

Integration With Veterinary Care

When an in-person visit is recommended, the helpline can schedule appointments directly with a caller’s local Thrive Pet Healthcare hospital when online booking is available.

Notes from helpline conversations can also be shared with veterinary teams when patients receive care at Thrive hospitals, providing clinicians with additional context ahead of appointments. If treatment occurs outside the Thrive network, the information may be forwarded to the treating hospital to help support continuity of care.

The company says the service is intended to complement, not replace, a pet’s regular veterinarian.

Telehealth Demand in Veterinary Care

Thrive Pet Healthcare said the helpline reflects growing demand for veterinary telehealth services and faster access to trusted guidance outside normal clinic hours. Teleadvice services can help determine whether urgent or emergency care may be needed and may reduce unnecessary emergency visits.

The HereFurYou Helpline is included as a benefit for pets enrolled in Thrive Plus, the company’s membership program available at more than 200 Thrive Pet Healthcare primary care locations nationwide.

Thrive Pet Healthcare operates a network of more than 360 primary, emergency and specialty veterinary hospitals across the United States.
