PettiChat has launched a wearable AI-powered pet translator designed to enable real-time, two-way communication between pets and their owners, marking a new entry into the emerging pet technology category.
Advancing human–animal communication
The device translates pet vocalizations into human-readable outputs while also converting human speech into sounds designed to be recognizable to animals. According to the company, the system delivers responses in approximately 1.2 seconds and is powered by an AI model trained on more than one million samples of animal vocalizations and behaviors.
The company reports a translation accuracy rate of 94.6%, positioning the product as a potential breakthrough in interpreting pet communication.
Adaptive AI and safety features
PettiChat incorporates adaptive learning capabilities that allow the system to refine its interpretations based on an individual pet’s vocal patterns over time. A companion mobile app stores interaction history, enabling users to review previous “conversations.”
The device also includes integrated location tracking, offering an added layer of safety and monitoring for pet owners.
Built on AI and animal behavior research
The product was developed by a team with backgrounds in artificial intelligence and engineering from multiple global institutions. Development included testing across more than 1,000 cats and dogs to train and validate the system’s performance.
The company is also developing a broader AI framework focused on animal behavior modeling, with potential applications extending beyond companion animals into livestock management and wildlife monitoring.
Market entry and outlook
PettiChat is launching through a global crowdfunding campaign, offering early access to consumers ahead of wider commercialization. The company positions the device as part of a broader effort to integrate advanced AI into pet care and deepen the human–animal bond through technology.
