LAS VEGAS—Viticus Group, a nonprofit organization and leading provider of innovative veterinary and human healthcare education worldwide, held its 98th annual WVC Vegas veterinary continuing education (CE) conference named in recognition of veterinarian Dr. Dennis McCurnin, at Mandalay Bay Convention Center last month.
One of the largest and longest running veterinary continuing education conferences in the country, WVC Vegas welcomed nearly 18,500 onsite participants and provided more than 900 hours of continuing education, a record-breaking 57 hands-on lab trainings in its purpose-built education centers, world class entertainment and more than half a million square feet of exhibition space, making it the most expansive Exhibit Hall in WVC history.
Viticus Group also launched its registration for the first-ever WVC Nashville during the Vegas event with a one-day flash sale $49 price; the new conference is expected to draw up to 7,000 participants from Aug. 15 to 18 at Music City Center and is the first new national veterinary continuing education conference in more than 40 years.
As part of Viticus Group’s expansion, it is opening new education centers in Nashville to mirror its Vegas service lines and offerings in the additional location.
“The success of WVC Vegas 2026 is largely attributed to our participants who are committed to continuing education in the veterinary field,” said Andrea Davis, chief executive officer, Viticus Group. “By prioritizing confidence-building skills and invaluable opportunities to create connections, WVC Vegas delivered a highly memorable and practical experience yet again. Plus, we are thrilled that WVC Nashville registration is now available and we look forward to welcoming everyone in our additional location. ”
WVC Vegas 2026 was named in recognition of Dr. Dennis McCurnin, a two-time Viticus Group Board President and member whose dedication was transformative for Viticus Group. Conference naming is the highest honor that Viticus Group bestows, and, for more than 50 years, Dr. McCurnin’s expertise in veterinary technology and practice management elevated the profession at large.
New this year, WVC Vegas welcomed board-certified veterinary surgeon, author and TV veterinary medical correspondent, Dr. Courtney Campbell, as its emcee. He is the founder of Stitches Veterinary Surgery in Long Beach, CA. Dr. Campbell also served as a session speaker throughout the conference.
WVC’s theme, Get Confident. Get Connected. Go All In!, highlighted continuing education and training through both hands-on and interactive methods. Additionally, world class entertainment included Emmy-nominated actress and two-time SAG Award winner, Jenna Fischer, best known for the TV show, The Office (event sponsored by Hill’s Pet Nutrition); Unleashed Comedy with Whose Line is it Anyway? legends Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood (event sponsored by Dechra and Nationwide Pet), and multi-GRAMMY Award winning, diamond-selling band Train (event sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim).
